Today we announce the reboot of our essential "Run Wherever Love Whoever" collection. We have restocked, added new items and gone red.

There is discrimination, bigotry, and ignorance in running. Sexism, homophobia, and transphobia rear their ugly heads, but we refuse to turn a blind eye to these injustices.

Our stance is unequivocal: Love knows no boundaries. Every individual has the right to embrace their identity and express affection without fear or judgment. Just as everyone should be free to run, everyone deserves to experience love without prejudice or restriction.

Our mission statement is simple: Run Wherever, Love Whoever.

We are all lovers on the run.

Benni has crossed our path again and again over the last few years. That's not surprising considering the fact that he takes part in so many races. His relaxed nature, bad humor, but above all his unbreakable passion for running, have always been a great match with the rest of us, so we invited him to Pgwoodcraft Athlete meetups a few times to get to know him even better. We encountered a super lovely family man with many interests and skills that go far beyond running. We shared the start line with him, the curry and lots of cake. We ran together, crashed together and laughed about it together.

Benni didn't become one of us. He already was.

We are aware that the Pgwoodcraft athletes are a book with seven seals for many. If there was a defined set of rules describing how to become a Pgwoodcraft Athlete, we would show it to the world. But there is no such thing. Pgwoodcraft Athletes find themselves by intuition and by feel. What belongs together grows together. So in the end, it's not a decision but a realization.

This is exactly why we are happy to welcome Benni to our team.

We've been working on this first Collection Drop of 2024 for a long time. "The Promise" is one of our strongest messages and we wanted to make it as bold and as clear as possible. The new collection is available now.

As of January 1st, 2024, we are increasing some of our prices.

Let us explain the reasons why we are taking this step.

The first reason is pretty simple and obvious. Despite a worldwide pandemic, troubled economic times, and constantly raising costs due to a massive inflation, our prices remained unchanged for the last 2 years. We are now at a point where these prices are no longer cost-covering. 

Running a small business has become increasingly hard, and we are in a tricky position with Pgwoodcraft. Too big to stay under the radar and go full-on DIY. Too small to easily compensate for the costs of running a business professionally, plus all the taxes, charges, customs, and fees applied by the federal government and the European Union, who make no difference between a 6-figure and a 9-figure business.

The second reason is not so simple and not so obvious. Despite producing eco-, human- and animal-friendly products which are tested to be long-lived and sustainable, we are remaining very self-critical about the sheer number of textiles we are releasing to this planet each year. Even the most durable, recycled and organic shirt will eventually land in an old clothes collection. And even after hopefully getting a second life after that, it will one day end up in a landfill. Although this process might ideally take many years, even decades, it is still inevitable. We as a sports clothing company stand at the very beginning of this process and therefore are responsible for the number of goods we produce and impose on mother earth. We take this responsibility very seriously and want to produce even more mindfully than we did in the past to grant all of you the chance to shop more mindfully in return. 

And although it makes us extremely proud and happy that so many people own Pgwoodcraft items, this must not be the driving force behind our business activity. Instead, our main goal has always been to bring across a message. To promote a different view and approach of how running unfolds in our personal lives and our communities. To create a haven for runners who refuse to fit in, allowing them to discover their own unique vision of how to go in for this sport. To pursue this purpose it is not necessary to equip every runner with dozens of shirts. It is rather the right shirt, with the right message attiring the right runner at the right time.

With that being said, we want to produce and sell fewer items, but make them count even more. Smaller productions automatically mean higher costs and thus higher prices. However, this is not meant to discourage you from buying Pgwoodcraft stuff. Not at all. We just want you to make your purchase decisions even more conscious. We, on the other hand, will invest even more in making our products and your shopping experience greater and the environmental footprint tinier. This is the outcome we are hoping to achieve.

As runners, we know the power of dedication, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of a goal. In The Good Fight, we harness that power to make a positive impact on the world. Together, we can create ripples of change, inspiring others to break free from the chains of conformity, to question the hollow pursuit of materialism, and to stand up against ignorance and hatred.

Yes, Pgwoodcraft is about running. But even more so about running with a purpose that goes beyond the miles. The Good Fight.

"When I founded Pgwoodcraft in 2015, I had no idea, where this would lead. As a company, but even more so as a community. Today we welcome Emi Dixon to our most inner circle, the Pgwoodcraft Athletes.

Originally from Great Britain, Emi just popped up in Munich one day in late 2021 and immediately clicked with the local Pgwoodcraft people. We started running together, drove to races, slept in mountain huts and even shared (her first) vegan Kaiserschmarrn together. Everything felt so naturally since day one. It just fit.

Emi is a wonderful human being. She's driven by a insatiable hunger for running, and she's also an incredibly fierce racer every time she pins on a bib.

Sending out this type of announcement to the world does not happen too often. And that is for a reason. The Pgwoodcraft Athletes are not a running club or racing team. Even less an endorsement program or ambassador marketing tool. The Pgwoodcraft Athletes are a circle of friends, that grows and evolves naturally. The most and only decisive factor for a new addition is gut feel. From both sides, by the way.

We gather to create meaning and spark evolvement among us and our surroundings. We run to uplift individuality and to celebrate life in the very moment it takes place. We are friends, lovers, parents, sons and daughters, apprentices and teachers, rookies and pros, givers and takers, all at the same time. Our bond is strong and we run proud.

Releasing "Route of Samsara" is a bold move. While some of you will immediately understand the interconnection between running and spirituality, others may not. Running can be a deeply personal and introspective activity that allows us to tap into our innermost thoughts and emotions, which often leads to a greater sense of self-awareness and spiritual growth.

For some of us, the act of running even is a form of meditation, allowing us to clear our minds and focus on nothing but the present moment. Others may find that running helps them to connect with nature and the world around them, which can lead to a greater appreciation for the interconnectedness of all things.

However, we are aware that not all runners are interested in or receptive to exploring these aspects of running, and that is perfectly okay. The beauty of running is that it can be whatever an individual wants it to be - whether that's a simple form of exercise, a way to clear the mind, or a spiritual path.

For us personally "Route of Samsara" feels like coming full circle and at the same time beginning a completely now chapter. This collection is life, death and rebirth.

As an independent company, we want to create meaningful products, not the most. That's why we only do small runs and availability is limited. We refuse to overproduce, sell off and dump what's left. Pgwoodcraft is not a part of this throwaway culture and we're glad you're with us.

Unfortunately the war in and on Ukraine is still raging on, causing eviction, death and suffering of innocent people on a scale Europe hasn't seen in a long time. From day one we have set up or "Runners United - Against War And Nationalism" campaign for the long run, so we keep on helping the Ukrainian people. 

By the end of March we already sent 4000€ to the two awesome NGOs Helpbus and Mission Lifeline. With STELP e.V. we have now found a new NGO that we want to support. It is always a tough decision to pick one donation recipient, but the humanitarian aid that STELP gives, not only in Ukraine, is outstanding. With greatest dedication they help people in acute need in a fast and unbureaucratic manner. 

In order to revive our Runners United Campaign, we are today launching 2 brand new shirt designs. Once again 25% of the total income of each sold shirt is being donated.
